Missouri History Author Richard McGee

My Mission: To educate & entertain

Richard McGee is a Missouri-based author specializing in Ozarks and state history, Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), historic mills, and regional heritage research. His work is based on field study and documentation across Missouri and Arkansas.

A descendant of Scottish immigrants, Richard has published a book on important cultural sites to visit in that country. The book includes a brief history of Scotland.

The Civilian Conservation Corps In Missouri explores the work of young unemployed men who went to work for the federal government during the Great Depression. They lived in rural camps throughout the state and worked to develop parks and re-establish the forest.
